  11. :2 Disk Files
  12. Allows access to files on
  13. the hard disk.  The first
  14. line shows the current direc-
  15. tory. The second line shows 
  16. the current filter.
  17. :3 Text Mode
  18. Text Mode is used to switch
  19. from graphics to text mode.
  20. This is normally used when
  21. "hot-keying" to a resident
  22. application eg. Borland's
  23. Sidekick. Use the F9 key to
  24. toggle between modes.
  25. :4 Create Icon
  26. Used to add a new icon to the
  27. screen.  This can be either a
  28. sub-menu icon or an appli-
  29. cation icon.  See also RAM
  30. usage, Icon Text, and Icon
  31. Commands.
  32. :5 Use Password
  33. Determines what type of pass-
  34. word will be assigned to an 
  35. icon.  Option are-
  36. - no Access (requires password 
  37.   to run run or modify icon)
  38. - no Modify (can run icon but
  39.   requires password to modify)
  40. - None (removes password)
  41. :6 RAM Usage
  42. CP RAM usage- Resident (98K),
  43. Limited (8K), and None (0K).
  44. CP returns faster if it stays
  45. resident. If the application
  46. needs more RAM, use Limited. 
  47. A few programs will need CP
  48. completely removed from RAM.
  49. In these cases, select None.
  50. :7 Launch Key
  51. Assign a character (A-Z) to an
  52. icon that will launch the icon
  53. with just that one keystroke.
  54. A beep means that character is
  55. in use for this menu.
  56. NOTE: If row/column labels are
  57. on, you will need to use the
  58. ALT key to launch the icon.
  59. :8 Delete Icon
  60. Removes an icon from the 
  61. screen.  If you are removing
  62. a sub-menu icon, it cannot 
  63. contain other icons- delete
  64. them first.  If the icon had 
  65. been customized, you will be 
  66. asked whether to keep or delete
  67. the custom bitmap.
  68. :9 Icon Text
  69. This text will appear on the
  70. default icon shape.  Use up 
  71. to 10 characters per line.  
  72. Text automatically centers.
  73. :10Icon Commands
  74. Enter the commands that would 
  75. be used to run the application
  76. from DOS eg. CD \GAMES
  77.              CHESS
  78. or use the Find File button to
  79. find and select the program
  80. file from the hard disk.

  82. :11Password
  83. Used to change an existing 
  84. password or to enter a pass-
  85. word for the first time after
  86. selecting the "Use Password"
  87. option.
  88. :12Appearance
  89. Standard icons have only 2
  90. shapes- a file-folder shape for
  91. sub-menu icons, and a clipped-
  92. corner box for application 
  93. icons.  Select Custom to modify
  94. the default shape.
  95. :13Analog
  96. Sets the clock to an
  97. analog style.
  98. :14Digital
  99. Sets the clock to a digital
  100. style.
  101. :15Size
  102. Use to select the size of the
  103. analog or digital clock or
  104. turn it off.
  105. :16Set Time
  106. Sets the DOS time clock, and 
  107. also the clock on the screen. 
  108. Use 24-hour time.
  109.  eg. enter 13:30 for 1:30 PM.
  110. :17Set Date
  111. Sets the DOS date, and also
  112. the date on the clock.
  113. eg. 03/15/91 for March 15, '91
  114. :18Labels On/Off
  115. Turns row/column labels on or
  116. off.  Labels are helpful when
  117. using the keyboard to jump to
  118. an icon by typing the row and
  119. column label.
  120. :19Screen Saver
  121. Determines how many minutes of
  122. no keyboard or mouse activity
  123. to wait before turning the 
  124. screen off to avoid "burning"
  125. the monitor.  Range is from 1
  126. to 99, or use 0 to disable.
  127. :20Mouse Speed
  128. Adjusts cursor speed to mouse
  129. movement.  Options are Slow,
  130. Normal, and Fast.
  131. :21Set Colors
  132. Toggles through several pre-
  133. defined color combinations.
  134. :22Icon Selected
  135. Click twice to run this icon 
  136. or use the right mouse button 
  137. to drag it to a new location. 
  138. Go to the pull-down menus for
  139. more options.
